STONA 2018 — Bengaluru

STONA 2018, the 13th International Granites & Stone Fair, was held from February 7–10, 2018 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). Organized by the Federation of Indian Granite & Stone Industry (FIGSI), the event attracted over 650 exhibitors from India and abroad, including country pavilions from Turkey, China, Italy, Portugal, Tunisia, Brazil, Germany, Ukraine, Morocco, and Oman.
The exhibition showcased a wide range of natural stones, machinery, tools, and allied products, covering a gross area of 60,000 square meters. More than 30,000 visitors attended, including buyers, exporters, architects, and industry professionals, making it one of the largest stone industry events in Asia.
A special highlight was the Shilpa Gram pavilion, where 50 artisans demonstrated traditional stone crafting techniques, connecting India’s rich cultural heritage with modern industry practices. Live demonstrations and seminars provided attendees with insights into innovative processing, finishing techniques, and emerging trends in the natural stone sector.
STONA 2018 served as a vibrant platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and business development, reinforcing Bengaluru’s position as a hub for the stone and construction materials industry. The event successfully combined innovation, tradition, and international trade opportunities under one roof.
